Yes, Microsoft Publisher is actually used to merge mails. Publisher contains a Mail Merge panel that you can use to merge mails. First open your existing publication then click the Tools menu and choose Mailings and Catalogs and then Mail Merge. Follow the wizard steps to complete the operation. For additional information related to lists and task management for mail merge operation, visit the Microsoft Support website.

I'm using Publisher 4.5. How can I convert a .dtp document to .pdf?

Since there is no official way of publishing DTP files to PDF you'll need to take advantage of a virtual printer which can publish your files straight to PDF. In this case, CutePDF Writer is recommended for the job. Download and install the application then load the DTP file in Publisher. Press CTRL+P and switch the default printer to CutePDF. Press Print and wait for the Save option. Input any name you want and your current opened file will be printed digitally into PDF format.

I have created a discount coupon in Publisher and our tracking software requires that it includes a code which I was instructed to print on the coupons. I have downloaded the Code 128 font and can see it in Word but it is not recognized in Publisher. I have struggled with this for hours now, so need your expert advice. How can I fix this problem as I cannot make this coupon a Word document?

After you downloaded the font, you need to properly install it on your machine. To do that, go to Start > Control Panel > Fonts > View installed fonts. Drag and drop your recently downloaded font file to the right pane of the installed font window. Close the Control Panel and open the Publisher program. Open a new newsletter, brochure or black page, click on Draw Text Box in the middle of the toolbar at the top of the page, draw a box and check if the font is installed. You can pull down the font menu, under Font section of the toolbar. You should have it installed.
